Delina was a sweet soul with a warm and giving heart and an infectious smile and laughter that would fill a room. Delina loved her family & her fur babies, she loved vacations at the beach, cheering on her UK Wildcats and she loved spending time with her loved ones. Fall was her favorite season.
She was a 1997 graduate of Magnolia High School in Matewan, WV where she was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top ten of her class.
Delina had a loving and supportive family and if love could have saved her she would still be here. No one knows what a soul struggles with internally and for the past few years Delina has struggled with drug addiction that ultimately took her life. We, her family, know that our sweet Delina was so much more than the horrible disease that took her from us. We wish to recall upon the happy times. Her battle is over now and she now at peace free from the prison that she was living in within herself. Please don't pass judgement on those fighting the fight. Pray for them and love them.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 3 pm at The Matewan United Methodist Church at 4749 First Avenue in Matewan, WV.
